Signal 03:13
Take me back Somewhere off the map Roll the windows down and laugh Rest your head Take off your love Hang it out above What’s the point in actin tough Ya fall apart Just get up Plus the evening Hasn’t even started Fragile Rock To patch up what you lost To open that old lock It’s not as rusty As once you thought Now the signal Can really start
2.
I’ll go whenever you decide to go Cancel all my plans Tryin my best to spend Some time with you You know we’ve been hangin out from time to time Who do you rely on? Is there someone in this life? Here we go And though you laugh it off from time to time Actin like it’s fine Just tell me you’re alright… And though you lackin all your pretty things When you’re laughin at my lens I’m thinkin on a mem I’m thinkin on a memory I’m thinkin on a mem…
3.
It’s always been you Just took me a while to tell Where my head lies Bad news it’s bound to happen It’s just how you take it That tells me who to be… Bad dudes they’re bound to happen Men are trash Yes, it’s so true Could it be true? My judgement’s been failin At the wrong time with outyou Oh to be… Oh to be in your arms There’s nothing else at all At all
4.
I cant even see it Though I’m staring at it Looking through the cabinets Can’t break the habit of You are always dreaming Forming not completing Thoughts are always climbing Head is a rising sun Eager to please Happy to stay Losing your leaves Shifting your weight Sowing seeds Now that you’re new Changing up the paces mixing up the spaces losing half the pieces finding where my peace is
5.
Gone Away 03:09
We might boil over sometimes But I know we’ll settle down Eventually now I know it’s hard, You wanna restart But there’s no pressin And you’re gone away Gone away, gone away And that’s alright We might boil over sometimes But i know you’ll come around Eventually now I know it’s hard, You wanna depart You’ve already started And You’re not suited for this You’re starting to miss The facts you’re facing And then me, It’s hard to see the want you need, even if it’s right in front of You’re gone away, Gone away, gone away And that’s alright
6.
Purée 03:21
{when i think of you A fondness leads off Boundless i guess a line of chalk When i think of you I think a lot Purée my feelings Get so lost } x2 Mystery lights Beaming brown eyes Shot right into mine Thinkin of a night drive alone with you Looking at a long time to get to you Thinking of a night drive alone with you Lookin for a long time to get used tooooooooo
7.
Funny How 02:53
We still toast our Bread on at least one side Check in before bedtime Sink while staring wide-eyed Basking in the old times Baby, what happened To this Seems I’m Always A risk Funny How, You talk about Your feelings as if you mean them Days like these, we sure seem So different, least in our opinions By God I’m having a blast now Acting far less savage Standing with my neck out Catching what I manage Round the world a trip I’m packin Don’t forget a single thing A list of wild old items And all the things I’m hiding from Baby, what happened To this Seems I’m Always A risk Funny How, You talk about Your feelings as if you mean them Days like these, we sure seem So different, least in our opinions
8.
Someone 03:16
I was mesmerized By the size Of you’re changing light In front of mine You been on the mend Time and time again When does it end Will you spend time for that someone ? You been feeling bored On all your supports Trust funds your course Of course it does But you’ve been on the route Guess you found his out Did you pull the stops? Are you gonna start becoming someone ?

about

Daphne Tunes is the mixed-fi musical project of Austin songwriter Santiago RD with the help of Sam Houdek, Andrew Stevens, Peter Shults, & Josh Halpern. Drawing inspiration from slow Sunday mornings and cloudy skies, they make mellow guitar-pop with warm, lived-in arrangements - perfect for a long drive or a relaxed afternoon. Their first record, Volume 1 was self-released in 2018 to wide praise throughout Texas and beyond.

Their followup, Volume 2 is a warm, 26-minute tribute to self-love and honesty. RD's soft, winsome vocals cover topics from regained relationships to newly found identities, sung over dynamic, winding instrumentation. Engineered and produced by Daniel McNeill throughout the winter & spring of 2019 in Austin, TX, the record also features tracks with fellow Texas-based songwriters Hannah Read (Lomelda) and Laura Colwell (Sun June).
